Development of "Belt and Road" International Freight Logistics Summit Forum held successfully

 From November 5th to 10th, 2019, the second China International Import Expo, which attracted worldwide attention, was grandly held in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. On the afternoon of the 8th, the “Belt and Road” International Freight Logistics Development Summit Forum was successfully held at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. The forum is sponsored by China International Freight Forwarding Association (China Cargo Association) and undertaken by China Cargo Association International Land Bridge Working Committee. Nearly 300 Chinese and foreign freight forwarding logistics companies from Russia Railway Logistics Co., Ltd., Azerbaijan State Railway Corporation, Japan Post and Sinotrans, COSCO Shipping, CRRC, China Storage and Transportation participated in the forum. The forum was chaired by Li Zhimin, vice chairman and secretary general of the China Cargo Association.

 

Zhao Huxiang, President of China Goods Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizer. He pointed out: Holding the China International Import Expo is a landmark project for China’s reform and opening up into a new era, and it is also an important expression of China’s self-confidence in declaring the system to the world. It fully reflects China’s stable economic situation and the joint development and sharing. The original intention of "All the way". China Goods Collaboration is the spokesperson for tens of thousands of freight forwarding logistics companies in China. We have the responsibility and obligation to shoulder China's responsibility, contribute Chinese wisdom, and provide Chinese solutions in the development of global freight forwarding logistics. On the basis of the exhibition held during the expo, we once again hold this industry forum, the purpose is to make good use of the expo platform, centered on the theme of innovation and development of China-Europe trains, and strive to serve the construction of the "Belt and Road" channel.

 

In the keynote speech, Lin Beizhan, Secretary General of the International Land Bridge Working Committee of the China Cargo Association, introduced the achievements, current situation and characteristics of the construction of the "Belt and Road" channel, focusing on suggestions for improving the quality and efficiency of future channels; Huizi Global (China) Information Lin Baoyi, President of Taiwan Technology Co., Ltd., expressed his views on how to transform and upgrade the logistics industry under the changing trend of global trade and freight; Mr. Jin Wanjian, leader of the “Belt and Road” International Logistics Alliance Expert Team and former director of the International Department of the Ministry of Railways, The issue of the property rights of the China-Europe intermodal transport bills promoted by the freight association over the past two years has been reported.

 

The forum also promoted the construction of the “Belt and Road” logistics channel. Stepanova Origa, Director of Russian Railway Logistics Co., Ltd., introduced the progress of its connection with the “Belt and Road” China-Europe train, and revealed that a special train for refrigerated container boxes will be opened to China by the end of 2019. Zhou Junbo, general manager of Chengdu International Railway Port Investment and Development Co., Ltd., shared Chengdu Lugang's vigorous development of China-Europe trains, opened up international logistics channels, and piloted the implementation of the "one-single system" of waybill materialization, leading the innovative development of China-Europe trains. Dong Wanxu, general manager of Beijing Trans-Eurasian International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., demonstrated their five years of experience in participating in the overseas operations of China Europe Express.

 

Guests exchanged views with the delegates. Participants in the meeting agreed that the China Cargo Association took the initiative to hold a forum during the Expo and gave a voice from the industry, which is gratifying. China-Europe trains have become a benchmark project for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". Industry companies should seize the Expo as a new channel to link industry upgrades and consumption upgrades, strive for progress, be brave in innovation, and push forward the "Belt and Road" interconnection to obtain new Grades.

 

It is reported that the second session of the Expo has achieved fruitful results, with 181 countries, regions and international organizations participating, and more than 3,800 enterprises participating. There are more than 500,000 registered professional visitors, including more than 7,000 overseas buyers, greatly surpassing the first. The cumulative intention turnover was US$71.13 billion, an increase of 23% over the first Expo.
